OBC’s Response to COVID-19
Okutama Bible Chalet is committed to providing a safe, healthy, camping experience.
We are accepting rental groups at a reduced capacity. In light of COVID-19 we ask everyone who comes to our facilities to abide by the following guidelines:
- Refrain from coming if:
- Not feeling well
- Been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks prior to arriving at OBC
- Provide a list of people attending
- name, address, and telephone number
- Things to bring:
- Mask
- Sanitizing Items (to use amongst your group)
- We leave the decision of mask wearing, up to your group guidelines.
- While on campus, refrain from being in small, narrow, crowded areas together and from
speaking loudly on or outside of camp (ex. taking a walk) - Main dining area:
- Wash hands at the sinks or use hand sanitizer prior to entering
- Do not change the chair settings as it abides to social distancing required (please do not upload pictures on SNS (social network) of seating)
- Ofuro Time
- Do not sit in the tub together and fellowship
- Check-out time:
- Leave futons out on the floors
- Leave the windows open
- Bring dirty sheets to baskets outside the laundry room
- Staff Commitment:
- In all areas used by campers, we will sanitize door handles, hand railing, toilets etc. twice a day
