OBC’s Response to COVID-19

Okutama Bible Chalet is committed to providing a safe, healthy, camping experience.

We are accepting rental groups at a reduced capacity. In light of COVID-19 we ask everyone who comes to our facilities to abide by the following guidelines:

  1. Refrain from coming if:
    • Not feeling well
    • Been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks prior to arriving at OBC
  2. Provide a list of people attending
    • name, address, and telephone number
  3. Things to bring:
    • Mask
    • Sanitizing Items (to use amongst your group)
  4. We leave the decision of mask wearing, up to your group guidelines.
  5. While on campus, refrain from being in small, narrow, crowded areas together and from
    speaking loudly on or outside of camp (ex. taking a walk)
  6. Main dining area:
    • Wash hands at the sinks or use hand sanitizer prior to entering
    • Do not change the chair settings as it abides to social distancing required (please do not upload pictures on SNS (social network) of seating)
  7. Ofuro Time
    • Do not sit in the tub together and fellowship
  8. Check-out time:
    • Leave futons out on the floors
    • Leave the windows open
    • Bring dirty sheets to baskets outside the laundry room
  • Staff Commitment:
    • In all areas used by campers, we will sanitize door handles, hand railing, toilets etc. twice a day
